Chad M. Casper
Born in 1985, Chad grew up in the Downriver area of Michigan. He had an early love of video games, cartoons and roller hockey. At Carlson High School, he was a star member of the rowing team and grew some super big muscles. He graduated high school in 2003 and began studying graphic design at NMU in 2004. In 2008 Chad graduated with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts. Chad works at Elegant Seagulls where he spends his days designing web and print media, and drinks all the coffee he can possibly consume. In his free time, he takes Dribble shots, goes mountain biking and tries to annoy Claire as much as possible.
Claire S. Abent
Claire was born in 1987 in Lansing, Michigan and spent her early days reading way too many books and playing outside. At Eastern High School she was involved in way too many things, but mostly couldn't wait to get to college. After graduation in 2005, she began studying at NMU and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor's of Science in Graphic Communication. After a brief (and not enjoyable in the very least) stint as a newspaper reporter, she decided to return to NMU to pursue a nursing degree and will graduate from college (again) in 2015. Claire currently is employed at Bayshore Veterinary Hospital where she spends her days talking on the phone and meeting all sorts of the best puppies and kittens. In what little free time she has, Claire likes hiking with Chad and the dogs, biking, running, gardening and baking.

How We Met 
Chad and Claire met through friends in the spring of 2007 at Northern Michigan University and had their first date on Halloween of the same year. They bonded over a mutual appreciation for Kevin Smith movies, art and good food. Over the next few years, they both graduated from college, found jobs in Marquette and were able to begin their futures together. They have collectively shared four cars, three apartments, two adorable beagles, two annoying cats, countless road trips and one undying love for the Upper Peninsula. It all came together with one engagement ring (which Chad designed) and a cold night in November 2011. Fortunately, Claire said yes. And the rest is history.
